Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Architect with EPIC expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on integrating EPIC, a leading healthcare software. This role requires in-depth knowledge of both AWS architecture and EPIC systems to support scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions in healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AWS Cloud Architecture:

   • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures on AWS.
   • Develop cloud-based solutions that integrate EPIC systems with AWS services to improve operational efficiency.
   • Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation for EPIC environments.

2. EPIC Integration:

   • Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate EPIC systems with AWS infrastructure.
   • Ensure seamless data flow between EPIC and AWS services, focusing on performance optimization, security, and compliance.
   • Work on EPIC interfaces, extensions, and third-party integration using AWS.

3. Security and Compliance:

   • Implement robust security controls, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and security monitoring.
   • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations when integrating EPIC on AWS.

4. Automation and Optimization:

   • Develop automation scripts and DevOps pipelines to manage cloud resources efficiently, using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
   • Optimize the AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability to meet the specific needs of EPIC environments.

5. Collaboration and Consultation:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including EPIC analysts, developers, and IT infrastructure teams, to understand business requirements and deliver appropriate cloud solutions.
   • Provide technical guidance on cloud adoption and transformation strategies in healthcare.

6. Monitoring and Support:

   • Set up monitoring and logging using AWS tools like CloudWatch and CloudTrail to ensure the performance and security of EPIC on AWS.
   • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for cloud and EPIC-related issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with strong expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience working with EPIC systems (certification in EPIC is a plus).
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and EPIC integration strategies.
• Experience with cloud security and healthcare compliance (HIPAA).
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and database management on AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPIC Certification (e.g., EPIC Hyperspace, EPIC Clarity).
• Experience with healthcare IT infrastructure and workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
