Job Title: ServiceNow Tester

Location: Remote

Duration: Long term contract

Job Summary:

The ServiceNow Automation Tester will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality of ServiceNow applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, automated testing frameworks, and quality assurance methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Strategy:
   • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for automated testing of ServiceNow applications.
   • Identify test scenarios, test cases, and test data requirements.
2. Automated Test Development:
   • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, UFT, or ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework).
   • Create reusable and modular test scripts to improve test efficiency and maintainability.
3. Test Execution and Reporting:
   • Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure application functionality.
   • Report and track defects using issue tracking tools like JIRA or ServiceNow.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
   • Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in automated testing and ServiceNow platform.
   • Recommend and implement improvements to existing testing processes and tools.
6. Documentation:
   • Document test scripts, test results, and defects for reference and future use.
   • Create and maintain detailed test reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years focused on automated testing.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform and ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with other automated testing tools such as Selenium, UFT, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, functional, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, etc.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and practices.
