Guidewire Claim Center Lead Developer

Job Location: Erie, PA (Remote)

Job Type/Duration : Long Term (over 12 months)

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Lead inception and development sprints for configuration and development of Guidewire ClaimCenter and Integration work streams
  • Responsible for interacting / coordinating with the Business Analysts & SMEs to understand the project / system requirements (Functional and Non-Functional)
  • Seek Clarifications to ensure the understanding of requirements needed for developing, configuring, and integrating Guidewire applications
  • Identify and create technical design specifications for the Guidewire claims center configuration and Integration stories that are needed to categorize the various units of development work
  • Create technical design specifications for the Guidewire configuration and Integration changes based on the business requirements
  • Responsible for providing the estimates effort and time (schedule) required for development track of the project and to provide the plan to the program / project manager
  • Provide inputs for Architecture diagrams, component diagram and tech specs for the overall solution for Guidewire application and Guidewire integration
  • Plan, design, develop, configure and maintain Gosu application code and configuration elements within Guidewire Studio
  • Lead data model changes that are relevant based on the requirements
  • Work on PCF, Widgets and locations in Guidewire UI layer
  • Create business rules like Pre-update, Validation, Assignment, transaction rules for the implementation of business logic

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly competent in these technology areas: Guidewire Studio, GOSU Scripting, Java/J2EE, SQL DB, Build tools, and version control tools
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Strong and demonstrable leadership and application ownership (post-implementation) with Guidewire claims center  product implementations is required
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing onshore/offshore development teams for one or multiple Guidewire product implementations
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with Guidewire Rating engine, Rating workbooks and Rating logic configurations
  • Experience with installing, partitioning and managing Guidewire suite applications for high performance, scalability and reuse
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and expert understanding of architectural standards, patterns and best-practices with respect to Guidewire configuration and integration is required.
