Role : Mainframe developer
Location : 100% Remote USA

Responsibilities :

Designing and developing: Creating new applications or enhancing existing ones to meet business requirements.

Coding: Writing code in various programming languages to implement business logic, data processing, and system integration.

Debugging and testing: Troubleshooting code issues, testing applications, and ensuring they meet quality standards.

Maintenance: Upgrading existing applications, fixing defects, and performing system maintenance tasks.

Collaboration: Working with other teams, such as IT operations, business analysts, and project managers to ensure smooth application delivery.

To be successful as a mainframe developer, JD likely has expertise in:
Programming languages: COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, Java, C#, and others.

Mainframe operating systems: z/OS, z/VM, z/TPF, etc.

Database management: DB2, IMS, Adabas, etc.

Mainframe development tools: IDEs like Eclipse or Visual Studio Code,
debuggers like Rational Developer for System z or IBM Debug Tool for z/OS.

Version control systems: Git, SVN, etc.
