Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SAS Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SAS programs to support data analysis, reporting, and statistical modeling tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement SAS programs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
2. Collaborate with data analysts and statisticians to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Design and execute SAS macros, procedures, and scripts for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and reporting.
4. Conduct quality assurance checks on SAS programs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
5. Optimize SAS code for performance and scalability to meet project deadlines and performance objectives.
6. Document SAS programs, datasets, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
7. Stay updated on the latest SAS software features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve programming techniques and methodologies.
8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering issues with SAS programs or datasets.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proficiency in SAS programming language, including data step programming, SQL, macros, and SAS procedures (e.g., PROC SQL, PROC GLM, PROC LOGISTIC).
3. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and data modeling.
4. Experience working with large-scale datasets and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify patterns and trends.
6. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
8. Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
