Hiring - Azure Infrastructure Engineer - Remote

Job Description 

Job Position: Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Job Type: W2 Contract

Location: Remote

Duration: Long term contract 

Day-to-Day Create the infra from Scratch:

·       Design is in place.

·       Responsible to help create the infrastructure from scratch. 

·       This Infra Ops person will rely on the services they need and help to build the foundation – using Terraform

·       Building Infrastructure – Linux; Azure DevOps

·       Set up Azure App 

·       Set up services they need using Terraform.

·       Ansible – install code.

·       DevOps portion – configured properly.

·       Development – owns the Continuous Integration (CI)

·       CI/CD Deployment: They are responsible for the deployment.

·       Security: Setting up the security – Azure Defender for cloud

·       Work with the Cyber Engineer

·       Work with... The Cloud Architect will create the base environment; using Cloud Option Framework - Build the foundation.

·       Architect provides a lot of scripts.

·       Personality: Wants someone that can make suggestions and contribute to design and build - Deoraj likes to have those conversations

·       Background: Database background (Oracle) – RDBMS.

·       Migration from on-prem to cloud or cloud to cloud; DevOps and Infrastructure Operations

·       Infrastructure as the focus, and DevOps as secondary for skill set 

Must Haves / Required Skills: 

·       12+ years of IT experience

·       4-5+ years of experience with Azure, with a focus on Azure-based infrastructure setup and management

·       Azure needs to be the primary environment.

·       This person needs to hit the ground running - Drive with minimal oversight.

·       Framework - this person will need to determine what the architecture going to look like

·       Building foundation from scratch

·       Infrastructure Ops person with DevOps skillset

·       Good communication - Able to work with multiple stakeholders. 

·       Good documentation experience - Loves people that document; how you set it up, webservices, etc.

·       Tools: WebLogic (middleware), Tomcat

·       Terraform - to deploy services, setup services.

·       Ansible - install code.

·       Azure API management experience

·       Familiarity with Azure service - Azure App Service, able to use Azure Defender, Azure Front Door 

·       Linux experience

·       Agile 

Skills / Experience That Are A Plus

·       Apache - installing and configuring. 

Azure DevOps - building pipelines
