Job Position: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Type: W2 Contract

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: Long term contract 

Responsibilities
• Identify, document, track, and communicate defects, working closely with development teams to prioritize and facilitate timely resolution.
• Provide regular status updates and metrics to project stakeholders, highlighting testing progress, quality metrics, and any potential risks or issues.
• Establish and maintain testing standards, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Ensure quality around web-based user interfaces and cloud services;
• Participate in all aspects of software development activities, including design, automation, code review, manual testing, bug fixing, and test plan documentation;
• Work closely with Product Owners, UX designers, Architects, Developers, Quality Engineers, and other key partners, to deliver functionality that helps solidify and grow our global customer base;
• Participate in story mapping, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews on a two-week cadence;
• Review each other’s work and hold team members accountable for high code quality standards;
• Deliver regular increments of potentially shippable functionality on time with high quality;
• Have substantial ownership. You’ll be involved in important decisions about how we build and grow our products and have a strong say in what we build next;
• Be a leader. Engage your peers, mentor junior team members, build partnerships with key partners across the matrix to achieve shared objectives’
• Write readable, performant, bug-free automation code;
• Continually improve processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
• Work effectively in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment.

Requirements:
• 10+ of years of professional software development experience in high-value test automation for complex enterprise software products
• 7+ years of experience in writing code in Java, TestNG, Cucumber with reporting capabilities to automate tests for web application across UI & API.
• Testing cross-browser compatible front-end web experiences
• 5+ years' experience in writing and executing automation for cross browser testing
• 5+ years' experience in writing and executing automation for mobile devices for non-native applications is highly preferred
• Experience with high availability, Disaster Recovery, Rogue testing, Happy Path, Negative Testing, Performance Testing, and Functional Testing is highly preferred
• Familiarity executing APIs using Postman.
• Experience in working with version control and CI/CD tools like Gitlab, Git, Github, Jenkins
• Awareness of web performance considerations.
• Proven ability to develop robust, efficient, high-quality code
