Job Description
Our customer is hiring a senior SAP PPDS (Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling) consultant for a project that will last at least through the end of 2024, possibly into 2025. This consultant must be familiar with:
• Setting up PP for detailed scheduling to work correctly
• Floats, fences, work center settings
• Routing and resource design
The resource will work with internal stakeholders and SAP to identify gaps in functionality, design, and configure a solution. SAP will provide the architectural support.
They are starting a project to deploy capacity constrained supply planning solutions in IBP and transitioning to a capable-to-promise technique. This will be used to improve material ordering technology and align their purchasing plan to their fabrication plan.
Some travel may be required for this role, no more often than once/month and probably no more than once/quarter. Also, some of the travel could be to Mexico or Canada, maybe once/quarter, possibly not at all. But the consultant MUST be open to travel to Mexico or Canada if needed (and have a current/valid passport).

Looking for a SAP PP/DS professional with hands-on experience on S/4 HANA, IBP 2038 and the implementation of PPDS to generate procurement proposals to meet the production scheduling requirements, Work Centers, capacity and resource plans, and order details. The candidate should have the ability to capture the business needs of customers and work with them to deploy innovative supply chain and scheduling solutions as a part of the customers’ transformation journey to generate business value.
Responsibilities:
● Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into a solution
● Ability to understand the breadth and depth of the deliverable and how the solution fits into the larger picture.
● Analyzes, designs, configures, tests and troubleshoots PPDS.
● Experience in troubleshooting CIF, RTI errors.
● Write RICEF’s to be delivered to the ABAP Development team for build.
● Provide guidance on best practices, process and functions
● Responsible for the Technical or Functional aspects of the Analysis and Design Process and its associated documentation – Technical, functional specification, Test Plans, etc
● Guides and troubleshoots during the implementation
● Responsible for defining and timely competition of required tasks with little or no assistance or oversight.
● Able to conduct presentations to all audiences on a variety of subjects
Experience:
● 6+ years of experience in full cycle implementation projects.
● 6+ years of SAP PPDS project experience
● 8+ years of SAP Supply Chain consulting experience
